Our Mission
Our mission is to make hangar operations easier to plan, coordinate, and carry out through connected hardware and software. We work directly with operators to understand their daily challenges and develop tools around how their hangars run.
Today, that means planning aircraft layouts and tow paths around flight schedules. We’re developing camera-based aircraft tracking to help reduce towing workload and collision risk. Our longer-term goal is autonomous aircraft movement: hardware and tug systems that carry out planned moves without human intervention.
Our Team
Samir Stevenson
Founder
Samir Stevenson combines a background in computer engineering with active involvement in aviation. He founded Starlight Hangars to build practical hardware and software for hangar planning and aircraft movement. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, recently earned his private pilot certificate, and is now working toward his instrument rating.
